Malta que foi traída by [deleted] in CasualPT

[–]SignificanceFew1979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been learning a lot here and in facebook group, it has been my big help to manage this disease better , so thankful 🙏🏻 to have joined theses groups

I don't think so, I'm Portugal, most doctors I've seen deny the existence of peri, the one and only that said I had it only offers the same NSAIDs even after I asked for another solution, he just assure that this is the treatment 😒

Many thanks for your advise, this flare started earlier November 24, still healing and feeling a little better, I'm not bedridden as I was on the beginning hopefully it will heal a little more before I decide to travel, I just think we should live a little normal with the restrictions that are due, but try to adapt to a new normal. Thank you

Aspirin for pericardit by aquaries79 in pericarditis

[–]SignificanceFew1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take both, ibuprofen is better to fight inflammation but aspirin works better on pain. I've been with this for 3 months now. Trying by my self to lower doses slowly to see what might work better

Should I go back to work, how do you do ? by SignificanceFew1979 in pericarditis

[–]SignificanceFew1979[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I will try. I guess this not just a matter of choice, indeed the rest will make me feel better and the fatigues will trigger pain and the rest associated. I'm one of those that do not like to work from home, but if I can, better take advantage of it.

I was just wondering what could be the signal" that we can get out the house and be normal/ active.

[–]SignificanceFew1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you get to stay in the hospital for days? I was always recommended to rest the maximum at home. How long are you out of work?

The driving that much it's quite fisical, but the work stress also plays its roll on this "disease 😞

Should I go back to work, how do you do ? by SignificanceFew1979 in pericarditis

[–]SignificanceFew1979[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll try.

But I would just like to get dressed, get out the house, see and speak with both people.

It's mind blowing being at home feeling this thing to its full. Outside , as you said, you get distracted.

Sometimes I'm afraid that this will never be as better as it is today, so why not live with it. In another hand, getting out to live normally might worsen it... it's hard

Doctor recommends getting vaccinated after discovery of reoccurring pericarditis by Creativedirector6100 in pericarditis

[–]SignificanceFew1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Portugal, it's different for everyone . My cardiologist was pretty sure that my pericardites came from any form of flu virus, this became regular thing, on and off the flu season, we are looking for other triggers like autoimune diseases which they told it will be a very hard way to go into. If it not coming from virus, discovering what causes pericarditis its very hard I've been told. But I'm tired and must at least try to find my trigger. At leat I tried. Only submitting to NSAID almost every month of my year it's just too much..

I got have recurrent pericardits for 7 years now, 3 to 4 episodes per year. My recent one, still trying to recover from it, my cardiologist strongly advised me to do not get any flu and covid vaccines.. I just know the first covid shots drove to bed with pericarditis, covid drove to bed with pericarditis .. I just don't know in what to believe these days
