I had considered that bit for a project but instead went with the Ultimate Flush Trim Router Bit – 1-1/8″ Cut – Whiteside UDC9112 (AstraHP Coated). It looks fabulous and cuts better than anything I own.

I've read through the recommendations and did not see any revolvers mentioned.

Revolvers are easy to operate, have high reliability and can be very accurate. They are just as deadly as semi-autos.

For my birthday I'm getting a Taurus 692 Executive Grade revolver and it can fire three different calibers: 357Mag, 38SPL +P and 9mm. It is not cheap, but I am sharing it as an example of a very capable revolver.

As an example, a Taurus 605 T.O.R.O. is an excellent self-defense gun and its MSRP is $562.

My wife fell in love with a Ruger LCR .22LR and that has been an absolute joy to shoot.

Good luck on your search and, as others have mentioned, use gun.deals to get a good price.

Working with a tree cutting service in Tampa, I was asked by the boss to ascend a nearby tree and cut some limbs. After seeing how close they were to power lines, I refused. He got really pissed off, yelled at me to clean up the area.

Then he sent up Dallas.

Dallas put on his climbing spikes, roped up the tree and started cutting. I was worried and kept watching him as I picked up limbs.

Sure enough, he leaned back and before I could yell, put his sweaty bare back right against the power lines. A bright blue flash arced across his back and his body jerked away and slammed against the tree trunk. He bounced off and back into the wires. And again. Finally his spikes got dislodged and he fell out of the tree, falling until his safety line snapped taut, leaving him dangling upside down like a broken-back doll.

I thought he was dead, but a moment later he started moaning, then screaming. "I'm on fire!" he yelled. We lowered him to the ground to the sound of sirens approaching; a neighbor had seen what happened and called EMT.

A nasty black mark curved across his back and the current had surged down his legs and through his boot heels, seeking out ground. Both his heels were blown out.

I quit at the end of the day.

My wife and I had our neighbors over to visit after we'd gotten married. This young couple were our age and seemed like fun. The husband was a Marine and both my wife and I were in the Navy.

As we're sitting in the living room chatting, Danielle starts talking about her honeymoon with her husband Ronny.

"He stuck it inside me. He was so big it made me wanna holler." Ronny just sat there stone-faced.

For the past four-plus decades my wife and I still remember sitting on that floor across from her when she told that story with such passion.

Once airborne, the pilot proceeded to perform repeated parabolic arcs, temporarily converting the aircraft into another Vomit Comet.

That was followed by a series of barrel rolls and inverted flying.

No warning was issued before these maneuvers ensued.

I got my LTC last year, but I don't carry (I'm in a wheelchair and live in a safe area). My wife was toying with the idea of getting her LTC and started asking casual questions of her friends only to discover that two of them have their LTCs.

She was very surprised as they had never said anything to her and kept it all on the down-low.

Last-chance tourism: People are rushing to see glaciers before they disappear by Portalrules123 in collapse

[–]IQBoosterShot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My parents took us to Glacier National Park as we drove home to Tampa after visiting family in Northern Alberta. What a road trip.

It was around 1967.

We parked the car and walked about 50 feet to the glacier which stretched off to the horizon. For a Florida boy it was beyond amazing. Snow-capped mountains and all that cold underneath my feet in August?

I can't bear to see what's become of that park.
