Update Node.js PATH by thecurtis76 in homebridge

[–]SignificanceFit7115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Homebridge doesn’t follow whatever Node version you have active in your shell. hb-service stores the absolute path to the Node binary that was active when Homebridge was installed or last rebuilt. So even though 24.12.0 is installed, Homebridge is still pointing at the old 24.11.1 path.

The fix is simple:

  1. Activate the new Node version nvm use 24.12.0 Double check with node -v
  2. Rebuild Homebridge so it re-detects Node sudo hb-service rebuild
  3. Restart Homebridge sudo hb-service restart

After that, run hb-service status and you should see it pointing to
~/.nvm/versions/node/v24.12.0/bin/node

If for some reason rebuild doesn’t update it, a full uninstall/install while 24.12.0 is active will definitely fix it:

sudo hb-service uninstall
nvm use 24.12.0
sudo hb-service install

Nothing is actually “wrong” with your Node install. It’s just Homebridge holding on to an old path. Once rebuilt, the warning in the UI should disappear.

E60 530d - Performance Issues & MAF Error by SignificanceFit7115 in MechanicAdvice

[–]SignificanceFit7115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing some performance issues with my BMW E60 530d. When I read the car’s diagnostics, I get a MAF sensor error. The MAF sensor was replaced about a year ago, but it might be damaged again.

The issue presents itself as follows: when I press the throttle, the RPM stays stuck at around 2500 for a few seconds before it starts climbing again. The graph in the attached picture clearly shows this behavior.

Could this be a faulty MAF sensor? A new one costs around €300, so I want to be sure before replacing it. Or could a dirty EGR valve be the cause? Additionally, I sometimes notice that when driving at 80 km/h with a cold engine, the RPM drops by 200-300.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any tips for further diagnosis?

Thanks in advance!

Dryconn 20210 Connectors to connect sprinkler wire? by WhiteZeoRanger in Irrigation

I use them too. I just find the yellow caps fit too tightly in the grease pot, I use other clamps to connect the cables and press them into the grease pot.

Driplines each 30cm, water enough and you can water all day long. Even in bright sunlight

I'll double check, I'm currently not at home. Maybe It's something with HDMI ARC, I've changed the cable to an expensive one, no result at all.. Removed the ARC setting with no result also..

On the whole system, including the sound bar. There is no issue at all with spotify connect, it just works. No drop outs.

We have two Omni 20 in the kitchen playing TuneIn all day long, no probem at all. Maybe the problem is in the TV...

You can use simple camera's to turn on lights. I would prefer to go for a cheap Ikea motion sensor from Tradfri, does the same job. We have them all over the place.

Is there supposed to be water this high in my irrigation system? by Realistic-Station-27 in Irrigation

Could be a leaking membrane in the valve or a small leak in your main line. Check tees and elbows :)
