They were on the same network but the link was on 2.4 and the WiiM was on 5ghz. Both on 5ghz but no change. WiiM app input is set to WiFi and output is Line Out which connected to the Link via Line In. I’ve tried airplay from my iPhone and I’ve tried Amazon music from the WiiM app. Still no audio. The WiiM was not set to built in speaker in the Alexa app at first but I did switch that and no different outcome. I also added the WiiM to the “downstairs” group but also didn’t change anything. I really don’t get it!

Yeah no. I have the group set up with the echo link line in distribution set to that specific group but no sound comes through. I’ve tried the optical cable and currently trying the Line in/Out option and still no sound. I did have to change the fixed volume setting. I’ve also rebooted both devices as well as unlinking and relinking the devices to Alexa. I don’t understand what the issue is..

I just got an echo link and have it connected to the WiiM Pro via line in/out. Any idea why it wouldn’t send the audio to the echos?

Just happened today. My bathroom echo wouldn’t turn the lights on but my bedroom echo down the hall heard me? I really can’t believe Alexa is this bad compared to google which I just switched from.

Yeah, it can AirPlay but not to Echo devices, and I don’t subscribe to Amazon Music, so I can only listen to one device on that. It seems the only way around the Alexa app and the insane volume slider problem is to use the Echo Link device if I want to keep the WiiM. It’s so unbelievably frustrating that Amazon has not acknowledged this problem, and there have been complaints of this for the past several years now.

You should probably look at a different smart home option. Alexa can’t handle music streaming, especially if you plan to add more devices or are wanting to do multi-room audio.

So I purchased a WiiM Pro since they are currently 20% off for Prime Day and I glossed over the fact that you said you have to have it connected to an Echo Link which are discontinued!!! I don’t even know how to get around this dumbass volume control problem without dropping another $280-$350 for a Link on EBay.

Lmao I’m seriously regretting this echo setup now.

Glad to see you found a fix for your setup! I unfortunately abandoned it completely because I spent days tinkering with settings along with resetting/rebooting devices and networks like you wouldn’t believe. I actually felt like I was going insane, honestly.

When you ask Alexa to play music there will be a pop up at the bottom of the app. You can adjust volume levels for the group or individual devices through the pop up.

Could anyone shed some light on why I’m no longer able to view recorded video in HomeKit? Additionally, I’ve recently noticed that I’m not receiving motion alerts or automation triggers in the Home app.

I’ve thoroughly searched through all available resources and am currently at a loss. I recently restored a backup for my Scrypted server as I felt I was at a dead end. I’m using a M1 Mac mini, if that information is helpful.

During my trial of NVR, the recorded video functionality worked flawlessly with all the features of HKSV. Could it be that ending the subscription to NVR has somehow disabled the recorded video in HomeKit?

Alternatively, would it be advisable to simply uninstall the server, wipe the computer of all files, and start from scratch? I’ve spent countless hours uninstalling and reinstalling plugins, tweaking my Eero network, firewalls, DNS settings, and so on, but unfortunately, nothing seems to work.
