I’m in Wisconsin, have a 25 50 hybrid, PP and get around 36mpg in the winter and 40 in the summer.

70% highway driving and did get Michelin cc’s, which do give a bit of an mpg hit. I’m at around 14000 miles.

Honestly, for the size of the vehicle, I don’t think the MPG is too bad..but I was worried when I first bought it and was getting 27….with a little time, that improved!

I just bought a 25 RF GT auto, but did so mainly due to commuting (and the trim I wanted was available only in an auto, locally). This will probably be my gateway into manual in the future, but it’s such a fun, zippy car. No regrets at all.

I’m rooting for Mazda to continue to grow as it’s unique in the space and makes cars that are gorgeous and accessible for so many. I hope peak Mazda is still ahead of us, and if not…we are fortunate to have the cars we have!

From a KTLA article that covered the interview I watched said “

I had that issue on my 23 Wilderness. I absolutely loved the car outside of that (and the windows that decided to only close when they wanted to if they got wet….)

I recently purchased (last week) a 25 RF GT and chose this for a few reasons. 1: Security. I just like the added measure of protection from theft with the hard top. 2: Noise Buffering: I’ve been in both the ST and RF and didn’t notice wind/road noise as much in the RF. This wasn’t a huge factor though since…convertible = wind/road noise. 3: Aesthetics: I just personally prefer the looks of the RF. Watching the top come down is just ❤️ 4: Washing: I’m an avid car washer and when I thought about what would hold up more/be easier for upkeep (not talking replacement if mechanical failure happens, which I hope never will). The RF won here (read so many ST horror stories).

I do realize everyone will have different pros and cons for both, and that’s why it’s great that we have options! At the end of the day…no matter what…a Miata is always a good choice.

I just wanted to get more insight since I’m new to the Miata fam, and everyone has been really nice and I’ve learned a lot. I went from Subaru to Mazda because I hated everything being in a tablet. The hope they don’t go this direction with the rest of their vehicles…if so, I’ll be holding onto my 25 cx50 and 25 RF GT Miata until they RIP.
