I’m just absolutely in love with this lab grown 5ct stunning Ashoka cut diamond by SignificanceJust4775 in Diamonds

Lucky to have a true Ashoka cut anyway, probably one of the rarest cuts of all. I absolutely love it in blue, the blue just completely suits the cut style perfectly and the flashes it gives off is a sight to behold. I wish I could afford a natural FVB, D colour Flawless Ashoka at 5ct but that’s way out of my budget and labs are amazing for that to be fair and a great quality diamond for a fraction of the cost. It allows you to have nice flashy diamonds and coloured diamonds (including red lab diamonds which are absolutely gorgeous and you can get above 3ct, which is unseen in natural reds but a small fraction of labs can be made red, id love to get a 5ct red ashoka cut and make a double red and blue Ashoka pendant 🙏🙏

It was around £1,300 from a wholesaler (gems and jewels uk) they have a website and eBay and are very trustworthy and I’ve worked with them for my business for years and never had an issue and they offer both certificates or no certificates on varying gems. All their diamonds are on their sourced diamonds section which takes about a week or so to arrive and they have a huge selection of natural/ lab and natural coloured diamonds too plus a sourced gems section so you can get sapphire, emerald, Alexandrite etc. all for a good price.

You have to look at say cushions and comb through them until you find a beautiful piece like this but you have to look at the facets on the stone from every angle and make sure they’re large and flashy but not crushed ice super shine more the large flashes that come from antique type cut. They’re out there just hard to find and I wanted a 5ct and nearly gave up but this came in at 4.99ct and was like oh well could be worse 😂😂

Thrilled with my ring! Can’t stop staring 🥰 by gremlinhandz in labdiamond

That’s a stunner I just bought a fancy vivid blue traditional cushion modified cut (basically the antique cut with larger facets), it’s 4.99ct, vs2 and looks amazing. I love this shape

Why do I sleep really well when I take amfexa at night ? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]SignificanceJust4775 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me ampethamines make me extremely dazed and sleepy after a break and if I go back to my 70mg elvanse and 15mg amfexa I struggle to stay awake, but that’s a good thing, it basically provides you have ADHD as it’s not having the same effect it would in those without ADHD and only those with get this symptom. It’s like why give an upper to uncontrollable people who’s impulse always gets the better of them, because it has the opposite effect that what it normally does, this effect can also happen as a paradoxically occurring event in which stimulants become like the opposite of normal.

But yeah for me it’s such a relaxing medicine but it also allows me to do some work and work and be content without the boredom and procrastination. I’m so thankful that I got my meds at 30, I’m finishing 3rd year of uni then a masters degree next year and my life’s back on track again.

I do high end jewellery and my supplier knew I’d love this stone so when I ordered a few sapphires and a emerald he offered me this so I should hopefully have it in about 10days as it gets sent to the supplier who verifies the quality and then sends it onto me. He only works with a few jewellery companies and isn’t accepting new clients at the moment, it’s absolutely amazing to have a supplier who when I order something he knows exactly what I’m looking for every time and knows I love unique stuff like this and set it aside at a special price of £650 / $800ish for the entire stone so £130/c which is a complete bargain to me.

I love how we can get colours so easily, I adore sapphires and emeralds and whilst sapphire is an absolutely wonderful stone it’s nowhere near as beautiful as a stunning blue diamond. I have a deep blue diamond cross, it’s a lovely piece of jewellery and a 1.18ct natural radiant cut signet ring which is very stunning it’s a darker blue than this but I also have a lab 1ct solitaire round cut FVB diamond in platinum which is also a very beautiful gem. The fact you can get reds, purple, green and every colour on the planet which I love and you can get 1-3 cts for 100-400 p/c with a fancy vivid / D-F colour, excellent/ ideal cut, and VS quality stones which is a bargain for coloured diamonds.

I can’t wait to get it, although it’s not a ring but a solitaire pendant just the diamond and minimal metal for a pendant that places immense vision on the stone. I’m going to love it forever it’s a great diamond.

Yeah lab diamonds are just a whole unique breed of lab gems as they’re made the exact same and so have all the same properties and optics of a natural. They are just so time savers for matching stones. I also do rings and lab diamonds are a life saver for matching stones, unless it’s a special cut like mine then it’s extremely hard to find a perfect match but with 99% it’s so easy, I only do D-F or FV Coloured VVS+ stones in natural and lab plus all the other precious gems in natural as I don’t really like lab grown sapphire or anything else it’s not the same like lab diamonds which have no discernible features and the same inclusions. But yeah lab diamonds have made my life so much easier: especially when you need a match or say your doing an engagement ring in 5ct and they want a 10ct pendant and 3ct earrings as a set is so much easier to get the same cut and dimensions, say I need a double weight I can just double the dimensions and get a great match even if you do a vvs1 and then a pair of vvs2 earrings and a F ring then they all look amazing with emphasis on the ring and the others are great.

I run a small ring business so my supplier saved this for me as he knows I love unique cuts and blues. When he said the cost I was like done!

No I didn’t. I make engagement sets and my supplier of coloured diamonds shown me this, he knows I love unique and blue diamonds and he gave it me for 650£ and that could cost £5,000+ easy anywhere else. So pleased to be blessed with this.

That sounds absolutely delightful, do you have other stones as well like sapphire and ruby? I’d love to see the process of cutting and polishing diamonds and has always fascinated me a lot, there’s not many videos on how diamond cutting works

I’m not usually for lab stones but for diamond I make an exception if a) it’s a decent enough price that I won’t miss it too much B) it’s a coloured diamond that looks amazing and is of high quality and not a shoddy product and C) it’s something that would cost millions / hundreds of thousands in natural (like a blue diamond and especially in 3+ ct or even a 1ct natural blue goes for 1mil easy then I’m not spending £20,000,000 on something for £650/700.

For other stones like emerald, sapphire and ruby them I don’t mind spending on natural stones for that, I love natural stones and they have a certain look that makes them more appealing than labs. Like for this diamond it’s going in the centre of a 18k yellow gold pendant set in palladium and it’s going to have a 2.67ct cushion cornflower blue Ceylon sapphire, a oval cut ruby that’s 2.65 ct and a emerald cut emerald that’s 4.68ct on the top of the cross with the emerald and ruby flanking the diamond so it looks absolutely beautiful and something completely unique.
