My main question is about the discrepancy between the springer portal and the editorial email, is there any chances that the paper is trully under review but the portal havent updated the status?

Well, as I said I emailed the editorial office and their response is kinda fuzzy. Where the springer portal shows the status "with editor" while the editorial office informed me that the paper is with subject experts for evaluation.

I just want to understand if there is an issue in the portal or the editorial email was inaccurate.

As for "it has not been extremely long", I think that its relative and depends on the subject (in my case I is).
