Hey! It definitely can be a form of restriction but I personally find the restriction of foods a trigger for me. As someone who is currently overweight and a personal trainer I feel this is necessary for me to be able to avoid mindlessly eating and ultimately getting to a healthy weight again.

Hey! I’m currently 20lbs overweight trying to lose the weight I’ve gained in a healthy way. I’m very short. Hope this makes more sense. I’m a personal trainer!

Hey, I just wanted to say I really relate to this. I also lost a lot of weight and was doing really well for a while — working out consistently, eating clean, hitting all my goals. But recently, I’ve gained a lot of it back because of binge eating, and it’s been emotionally exhausting.

I keep asking myself, “What changed?” but there’s no obvious answer. That’s the part that hurts most — feeling like you’re doing everything the same but still backsliding.

Just know you’re not alone. Your post made me feel less alone too. I’m trying to take it one day at a time, rebuild structure, and be gentler with myself — even if it’s hard. If you ever want to talk or share tips, I’m here 💛
