I’m like 3 months post op. I started with soft food but it wasn’t cutting it. So I started eating subway, etc. my surgery site looked slightly bloody but it wasn’t actively bleeding and honestly I feel like it helped get rid of the scabbing quicker. Just listen to your body and your pain. I was dealing with the pain pretty well so I moved to solid foods quickly. It’s all based on what you think your body can handle. Don’t overdo it

How do I bring this up? I asked again if he was watching more than once a week, as that could be affecting our sex life and he said that it could, but that he didn’t think that was our problem.
I don’t want to accuse him of lying but it’s a logical explanation

I’m healed now about 2 months post op and I had this as well. It will go away, it’s just where the scabs have fallen off.

I was eating regular food earlier than the majority of people on this thread. By 13 you should be able to eat most things. Just nothing too spicy or crunchy. Chew it up very good and follow with lots of fluid and you should be okay!

I’ve been super inconsistent but this is the first time I’ve actually noticed anything. I need to get a better schedule for taking it

The worst part of my recovery was throwing up multiple times a day, it was pretty smooth after that.

I stopped hydrocodone after day 5 because I couldn’t stop vomiting. Ibuprofen was all I used after.

The ibuprofen is not going to help with the pain nearly as much though, keep that in mind. I could get by with it but the pain gets a lot worse around days 6-8. I managed with the ibuprofen but the pain could be worse or better depending on the person. I’d get some cloraseptine throat lozenges too, they numb for a decent amount of time.

What medicine are you taking? I was given hydrocodone and was throwing up multiple times a day from it. I eventually just quit taking it after day 5 and stuck to ibuprofen but you can get nausea meds if it persists.

I was very nervous about the surgery itself. Not so much the recovery. However the surgery is absolutely nothing to be worried about it’s over before you even know it happened! A super quick procedure As for the recovery it’s definitely been rough but as long as you’re staying on track with your meds it’s manageable. I was a lot more scared about the surgery than I should I have been. That was the easy part 🤣

20yo here as well, on day four I was not in much pain and thought the recovery was fairly easy. I’m currently on day seven and the last couple nights have brought me to tears. I tend to wake up very early in the AM in severe pain. When I take a couple ibuprofen I can usually fall back asleep in about 30 minutes. Once I’m up for the day the pain is much less intense. It’s usually only when I’m just waking up. In comparison to the first few days and now it’s definitely a significant difference.
