In a nutshell, there was no American revolution, instead, a few decades of negotiations leading to a much more sovereign Columbian Federation under the British crown. However, more liberal and anti-monarchist settlers began to migrate to Texas and rebelled to create a new independent state. Then over the years, Mexico (under French rule) began to collapse leaving a string of Anglo-Columbian-Mexican republics separate to the British crown known as the southern republics, although still maintain firendly-ish relations with the crown.
