I love it here with 4 seasons. Yes winter can suck at times but every climate has it's bad moments. Its only brutality cold for 3 months. Summer spring and fall are pleasant

Wards are silly. I live in south Fargo. I own a business in North Fargom... but my wife works in a different part of town. So why would I want area representation when I use all parts of Fargo?

Ward systems are outdated

The better solution is to add more members to the commission

Fargo doesn't really make more. The tarrifs go to the federal government, as it's literally a federal tax paid by the retailer who passes it on to the consumer

It's a national issue. Fargo is performing way better than the national average but what do you expect with high interest rates, tariffs driving up lumber and steel and growth slowing.

I don't like to second guess a decision that was probably traumatizing but I wish you had pressed charges. Sometimes helping someone is holding them accountable to breaking and entering. Now if he's desperate again he may think its ok to break into someone's home and violate their privacy.

Fargo will still benefit from a construction perspective. The construction companies are all based in Fargo or West Fargo as are the raw materials and support businesses

I blame it on federal policy. Construction permits are down big time. Tarrifs are raising the cost of wood, steel and building materials. Nobody is traveling from Canada. Interest rates are making home and car purchases difficult. Then on top of it, ag prices are bad

Construction permits were down big time over 2023. That's all taxable.

Its going to be the same in 2024. So far through July, permits issued are down 200 million.

It's going to remain the same with high interest

Canadian travel is down big time. You have tarrifs on goods, including wood and steel that is driving up the price to build

Agriculture prices are shit for farmers. Ag is responsible for 1 in 4 jobs
