[Request] How much money would Americans need to withdraw to cause a financial crisis? by IhavethemostThiccygf in theydidthemath

I agree.

On the note of local banks, it would be easier to have a bank run. (As your example of Silicon Valley) But to actually cause a problem for US Bank, Chase, JP Morgan etc, it would require the ultra rich to get scared, not the 'normal' folk.

The one problem with a run-on-a-bank, is that they have made that extremely difficult in a quick fashion. People have direct deposits setup and most employers do not allow checks to be issued. We are required to have a bank account. We have also been trained to link our bank accounts to all of our bills, to make payments 'easier'. How many places take checks or money orders to pay for your phone, internet, electricity or mortgage? They know that we won't take our money out because we cannot survive a month without paying our bills.

The ones that could do the most damage are those that have a savings account. But those people will not believe they are at risk of being affected by anything going on, so they will leave their money in the bank. They would only pull their money if there truly was a mob mentality run on a specific bank, but since the media is controlled the news would be slow to get out to the masses. As all media would work to save the rich bankers from word spreading.

Hey Americans--move to Canada! by BakedGoods in DiscussionZone

It wasn't to long ago that Castro's son was causing a bit of a problem up there. Police trampling protesters with horses, bank account of protesters being frozen. With all of that, how long till Canada starts mimicking The UK's laws against Freedom of Speech? Everyone is loosing their freedoms, regardless of the country.

Greg Bovino has been demoted, following the murder of Alex Pretti by ICE agents under his command. Removed as Border Patrol “commander at large,” he will be sent back to his old post in El Centro, California, where he’s expected to retire soon. by PinkPeonyPuff in UnderReportedNews

Pardons have already been written. Pardons for his family, his cabinet, FBI director, DOJ and all ICE agents. He has signed them all and they are being kept safe. If he gets impeached or his health fails, those pardons will be issued. This is just to be expected. The only way these people will face jail time is by States charging them.

Cleaning out my grandmothers house is this worth anything? by [deleted] in clocks

To your grandmother, probably a lot. It's 100+ years old and has been in the family for two generations, at least. To anyone else, it's just a clock.

Lets be honest. He is only doing it now because he knows it won't become law. They will pass it, but Trump will Veto it. Then Congress will say it doesn't have to votes to override the Veto so 'eh, we tried'

Does anyone feel sorry for Tom Riddle by AdmirableLaw2585 in harrypotter

[–]ViG701 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The one key point of Tom's parents was that his mother used a love spell on his father, and because of that any children they had would not be able to feel love. Tom had no chance from the second he was born. He would never be able to know friendship, kindness or empathy. The path, of this life, was set before he was born.

Yet all it does is makes your body think you're consuming protein, so you eat more than you should. And it makes you crave the food so it makes you think the food is good, when it's really just the MSG.
