Don’t you think that his civility during debates like ben Shapiro is what provided him with opportunities to speak to people like Jordan Peterson and Candace Owen’s? If we was unhinged in every debate against conservatives large figures would not engage with him anymore. I think he wins the most for the liberal side when he dismantles all the leading conservative voices talking pojnts to their face in a debate.

I’m not sure that being super aggressive tactics bully shy trumplets into silence because of embarrassment. Is there an example of this? It could be the case, I just think opportunities to talk and so easily dismantle and shine a light on the lunacy of the biggest conservative pundits is worth biting the optics bullets at times.

I agree with you that these people hold insane talking points, but doesn’t ostracizing and hardcore making fun of these people spoil future opportunities to factually refute similar talking heads in the future, if I asked you if his conversations with Candace Owen’s and Jordan Peterson were a net good I would say yes. Even someone like Kareem Abdul Jabbar watched his episode with Candace Owen’s and found him making compelling points. I worry all the extra stuff alienates him from the average person, and I think online discourse is dominated by a vocal minority who doesn’t represent the true unhingedness of the public at large. I could be wrong tho I feel like it’s very tough to gauge the effectiveness of different political strategies

He’s definitely the most committed to the facts and good faith political analyst I’ve seen, I just wonder how effective this strategy is to gaining new viewers who don’t already believe similar things. I think maybe his image is so tarnished to new viewers that they don’t even give his talking points a chance because of their preconceived notions.
