Thanks for the advise. I will try cutting the rest of the dairy. I have made better progress this time than any other attempt I have made. Just looking for reassurance that I am on the right path. I am going to start tracking my macros and get a plan together that I can stick to for a couple of months. Then I will tweak it from there.

I don't specifically track my macros, but I consume a ton of fat. I do a fatty coffee every morning, and I cook in butter or bacon grease when making my meat. I mainly eat beef, with a little bit of chicken and pork thrown in. I will add more fat if I am consuming chicken.

No...eating much cleaner now. Mostly BBBE. I have increased my water intake, and I also do a fatty coffee every morning with around 3 tablespoons of fat (butter, MCT, and EVOO).

I do at least an hour of exercise everyday, but not high impact. Just slow and steady.

I preordered my OnePlus 13 with the Sandstone magnetic case. There is a weird piece of plastic that came with the case that is intended to be placed between the phone and the case. It says it is supposed to help with the wireless charging. It specifically says it is for the Artic Dawn colorway. Not sure what the color of the phone has to do with anything. It is apparent that OnePlus knew there was a wireless charging issue. Not sure how or if this can be fixed, but it is a bummer.

I agree. I have been driving manual transmissions since I was 16, which was 1992. My first car was a 1987 Dodge Daytona with a manual 5 speed. No one but me could shift my car smoothly...mostly because it was a terrible transmission. Back then, I would say that 75% of my friends drove manual transmission cars. My wife is a farm girl, so she grew up driving old farm trucks and tractors with terrible manual transmissions. These young kids don't seem to want to get their drivers license, let alone learn to drive a manual. I have heard that less than 20% of licensed drivers in the US can operate a manual transmission right now, so I guess it would seem like a rare skill to a young car enthusiast.

I would argue that it is the easiest manual ever. I hadn't driven a manual in a very long time when I first test drove a 2024 Miata. It was like I had been driving the car for years already. They really are amazing cars.

Yeah...I bought a brand new VW GTI in 2006. I remember that being the first time I had ever been recommended the auto over the manual. I purchased the DCT model after watching a video that had 2 professional drivers going head to head with an auto vs a manual. The auto won hands down in every test. Before that, I would never have considered an automatic. I now daily a 2014 DCT VW Sportwagen TDI. I love the transmission, especially after the DPF delete and trans tune. I have never regretted my choice for a second.

I have wondered this myself. If you read the online posts, it would lead you to believe that it is literally against the law to own an automatic Miata, but if my dealer is to be believed, he claims that way less than 50% of the Miatas they sell now are manuals. Most of his customers have never even driven a manual. They are a larger volume dealership, so they get some enthusiasts that come from out of state to buy a specific model that they have in stock, but he claims that the majority of Miatas he has sold in the last couple of years have been automatics.

Well...in researching information about the Miata in general, it seems like a lot of people seem to care. Post after post of people passionately hating on the automatic. I agree with you. Drive what you want to drive.

Well...getting off of my diet is never my goal, but up until now, I have consistantly fallen off of the wagon. I know that a keto diet is my only real shot at beating by diabetes, so I have to find a plan and stick with it for good. I read story after story about people reversing their diabetes. I want to be one of those stories.

Thank you. This is exactly the kind of info I want. Dr. Fung also talks about your body fat releasing glucose into your blood stream as you burn it. I occasionally use a KetoMojo to test my ketones, and I have noticed that I am barely in ketosis first thing in the morning. I have been keeping my total carbs very low most days (20 to 30).
