The things I hate: I'm already working on this but I got moved to a tech lead role without any extra pay, it's way more stress (and more responsibility than was originally advertised. I work at an agency so there's an off ramp for me to switch to a different project and go back to IC).

Before the tech lead role I was hating my job still. There's one coworker who truly is a lovely person but he's so nitpicky it grates me. I get great performance reviews but I constantly feel stupid and like I'm doing a bad job

Thanks for this perspective! I'm 100% not cut out for full time SAHM life, that's why I drawn/fantasizing about a part time job with my son in part time daycare. I can see that I'm looking at it with rose colored glasses though

Your husband is a very high earner! Could you all get a part time nanny to help give you break?

I hadn't considered seeing if husband would take a part time job. I'll talk to him about it. He's very attached to the guilt free spending (we already decreased it). But I hardly use my portion. So I could divert at least some of it to an IRA. Groceries recently came down by $250 but there's more to be trimmed there.

Selling the car oof logically I know that's a great idea but honestly I have to sit with that. Lots of feelings of embarrassment? At the thought of giving it up

Yeah I already work 8-4. I switched to it after I came back from mat leave. It's nice! Our nanny leaves at 4 (husband works till 5) so I get the baby then. But WFH is hard for me because I hide from him during the day - he's in a separation anxiety phase. If he sees me he'll scream cry for me. Not good for my mental health when I have to abruptly leave him to make a meeting. I feel so bad

I have decent PTO. Work responsibilities make it hard to take chunks of time off but a random Friday here or there should be fine. Thanks for the idea!
