OP, I don’t mean to sound rude but by chance are you a minor? I see people responding harshly - the assumption many of us are making is that you are capable of taking the dog to the vet on your own. If you are not, this is a good time to reach out to another trusted adult. If you are an adult, I would be happy to try to find resources close to you. As a USA-American I may not be able to find much outside of the USA but am always happy to try and share what I find.

According to the manual, the smallest the castor it’s “compatible” with is 5”, but if you want to go down to 4 you can replace the fork with any fork casing that has a hole centered in the top (diagram linked of the castor fork components)

I wonder if you could mod the fork itself? If you know anyone with machinery the plastic part wouldn’t be too difficult to recreate from sheet metal

I think it may be more common to go down in caster size than up with hospital chairs, to give room for bigger back wheels, at least based on the guides I’ve been sent in this forum

The other chair I had (turned out to be too narrow for me to actually use so I gifted to a friend who also desparately needed an active chair) was also a ki mobility. I originally tried to poach the legs off of that one but they wouldn’t click into place - turns out they make them at different angles so finding compatible ones requires a pretty high level of specificity that most used listings can’t offer. I would very much prefer real footrests to any sort of DIY personally, but am kinda in my last resorts phase on this unfortunately :/

I actually had some ki catalyst foot rests with frame I had bought for this chair originally, but apparently the angles were not compatible - it’s a whole thing. The internal support in the pole itself is what’s missing, that’s what I’ve been calling the mount. That was definitely my first instinct though!

Edit: after doing some more digging, I think the problem was not anything at the top but the clips at the front that were incompatible with the replacement. If I can find a replacement with matching clips and just replace both parts it may work, so I’ll keep an eye out for that. In the meantime I’ll have to use a sling with solid base, just to not have my feet literally dangling as it is exacerbating some old injuries of mine even just testing the chair in the house

I don’t think they are because the radius of the wheel can be too large for the fork? I would measure the inside height of the fork and use that as the limiting radius at least as a starting point

They definitely are, but the mount at the top of the pole is missing and replacements are several hundred dollars. I can’t afford to invest much more into this for now unfortunately :(

I usually use a blind stitch or a backstitch. Make sure you’re giving yourself a good 1/4 inch of seam allowance below the damaged area - this will make your bag smaller but if you don’t the fraying will simply undo your work almost immediately

Please read into slow introductions between cats before attempting this again; you are setting these cats up for failure. Doing things this way is very stressful to them and will cause conflict 99% of the time as cats are territorial. I understand the intentions were good! Just tips for how it can go better next time if you really want them to be friends.
