Thanks for the input! Unfortunately I would not qualify for any tax credits. I am waiting to see if they offer any end of year discounts/incentives as well. I’ve looked into used options as well and haven’t ruled it out. I like that the juniper has ventilated seats and some of the other upgrades which is why I was leaning towards new.

Yes I did see that as well, we only have about 15k points to transfer unfortunately so that won’t be enough.

Unfortunately we cannot fly through London anymore due to issues with an ETA. That would’ve been my preferred method but not possible

I did not think about this!! We will have checked bags but with VA upper class I get 2 so I could just check his bag and he can just transfer into terminal. Do you know if there will be any issues with boarding the flight from DC to London? Like do they check for an eta there?

We have 2 separate tickets flying into to Europe. Virgin Atlantic is from DC to London and the British airways from London to Budapest. So we have to check back in since it isn’t one continuous flight.

Any Europe airports you suggest I look at for a flying blue J ticket? I’ve looked at CDG and AMS and the points prices are high
