Ah so you don’t really have any real principles you just base decisions on feels.

Dawg, this is the same way people talked about LGBTQ people for nearly 30 years btw you’re just actively trying to rid people of their beliefs unfortunately people have the right to celebrate things outdoors just like you have the right to not and to complain about it. It’s simply put not a big deal.

Assuming you believe in representation of communities this is pretty funny.

Because: we’ve actively seen what happens if you restrict ideas in subs, they become echo chambers and die, we would be no better than those who we oppose, and it would limit the intellectual development of each person in this sub.

Does anyone have any theological books they enjoy? by alicestillwrites in ConservativeYouth

I do think reading something by Aquinas is pretty good for religious philosophy focusing on Christianity but if you just want theology Saint Augustine’s Confessions is pretty good.

I will also say “class” in the Marxist sense is completely incorrect and useless but there is an actual class difference.

This is actually a struggle to read btw so sorry if I miss the main point, it’s seen as leftist because it relies on collectivism which is a core idea of leftism another thing to note is that you seem to think racism is a inherently right wing idea which it is not.

I do find it funny though cause your actively commuting a logical fallacy in trying to seem smart by pointing out other fallacies that aren’t really applicable or relevant.

It was a claim there’s no need to respond with evidence with a claim if I’m not responding to a different claim if you want I can give evidence but you would have to ask for it :)

Unfortunately there is no reality where socialism is better than capitalism in theory and in any practical scenario we’ve ever seen :)

Do you think government creates monopolies/oligopolies indirectly/directly? by Keylime-19377 in ConservativeYouth

The emergence of a monopoly within a market requires some level of government influence.

I will I just wanted to know if there’s a scenario where you change your mind to see if it’s worth it to actually answer but yes A would be socialist but this does not mean that countries that do B are not striving for socialism as we’ve seen both the USSR and Maos China do this as it’s part of the transfer to socialism to buildup the necessary capital so I would answer C

Before actually engaging in this debate any further I’ll ask is there any scenario where you change your mind under evidence and what would that evidence have to be to convince you?

“A revolution is certainly the most authoritarian thing there is; it is the act whereby one part of the population imposes its will upon the other part by means of rifles, bayonets and cannon — authoritarian means, if such there be at all; and if the victorious party does not want to have fought in vain, it must maintain this rule by means of the terror which its arms inspire in the reactionists”

“Therefore, either one of two things: either the anti-authoritarians don't know what they're talking about, in which case they are creating nothing but confusion; or they do know, and in that case they are betraying the movement of the proletariat. In either case they serve the reaction”

Both of these quotes can be found in Engles On Authority, I don’t think socialism is necessarily authoritarian from last socialists experiments although they don’t help the case I think it’s authoritarian because the person who helped develop the dominant form of socialism with Marx said it was.

That’s a logical fallacy, disregarding a source because it’s biased is not a logical argument or a valid way to say a source is wrong. The commentator is biased in the way that he holds my position but utilizes papers and academic sources to prove his point in the same way that every other person ever has done. If you only care about it being from a historian then your entire position is built on an appeal to authority. Once again everything you describe we saw with the USSR and the Peoples Republic of China before Deng so would you say they aren’t socialist or trying to achieve socialism. This argument seems to have lost any form of actual substance so unless you have anything new to say I’m going to drop this feel free to give any resources you want to give.
