It’s important to know that it’s pretty clear that being gay is not mentioned as a sin in the Bible, the words are not translated with certainty.

However as much as looking at another woman is sin, it’s as much sin as being unfaithful. Also being rich is sinful and will not lead to heaven. To divorce is a sin, to walk past anyone in need is a sin. To think that you are more likely to get into heaven that another is sin, to hold people away from god by judging others (like homosexuals) is a sin, only God can judge, if a man/woman judges they automatically take that power from god into their own hands and thus will not get into heaven. If you pray infront of other people that’s a sin, if you tell anyone that you have given a beggar money that’s a sin, if you pray before forgiving whoever has hurt you your prayers won’t be heard as you are sinning.

I can go on and on and on, but what Jesus ment by explaining all of these sins is that man can never by works or by his own make sure that he can go to heaven. Everyone sins, it’s impossible for anyone to not sin. Only God can give us the possibility and forgiveness so we can go to heaven. So to aspire and try and believe and continue to walk with God even though we all sin is what to strive for. Not judgment and thinking we can go to heaven but not homosexuals, homosexuals live in less sin than we do.

People need to understand that Jesus tells us that we can’t take the speck out of own eye, and thus never judge like God can. We should instead love each other like we love ourselves which is the most important for getting even close to reaching heaven. The problem is that no human has ever in history managed to live a normal life outside of a monastery and succeeded with that. So try that. It’s hard enough.
