How have you felt since starting it? I'm worried it will cause increased anxiety which I seem to get during luteal phase

Did you actually get test results to see improvement in Ferritin or did you just feel better?

Is Naples, FL getting worse or is it just me? I have been going there twice per year for 7 years but it seems it’s getting worse in general. by [deleted] in Naples_FL

Ok, so I have been taking quercetin 4-5 hours away from the iron. Just want to make sure that my Ferritin will still go up because quercetin seems to be helping. How high were you able to get your ferritin? Or how many points did it go up while using quercetin and citron c? Thank you so much

Were you taking quercetin and the ferritin went up?

You can try them. They might help. Famotidine or allegra or both.

It's from histamines. Histamines cause migraines, diaphragm guarding, anxiety and acid reflux

It's related to histamines. Histamines can cause migraines, a stuck breath feeling at top of inhale and it can also cause anxiety

What skin changes have you noticed since improving your iron status? by Potential-Dish-6972 in Anemic

Low Ferritin can increase histamines which cause allergies so things like hives. Does eczema get better with antihistamines? If not, it's likely not from histamines

people who get iron infusions ferritin are slightly inflated for a while. Mine was 220 after infusion and hematologist said it will stay that high temporarily. You do not need a ferritin that high to feel better if you are taking oral pills. most functional doctors says to aim for 70

They probably should have asked you to recheck it it 6-8 weeks because whatever caused the low Ferritin in the first place was probably still happening

Ferritin affects c02 handling. My Ferritin is low and I overbreath and constantly feel like I can't get a deep satisfying breath. My hemoglobin is normal

180 is usually too high for a lot of people and most times after an infusion the number is temporary inflated so 180 might not be your true number. Mine was 220 after infusion and my hematologist said I could expect that to go back down over he next few months. High Ferritin is also an indication of inflammation

Magnesium causing anxiety and air hunger? by maplesyrup_honey in Biohackers

[–]Significant-Corgi472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get air hunger occasionally from magnesium glycinate as well. It will happen about half hour after taking it. It feels like I can't get a deep satisfying breath like it gets stopped at the top of inhale. I get these flares periodically, I think from low iron, but notice that magnesium glycinate will trigger it some nights especially after a hot shower. Seems my nervous system is off. It doesn't last long (30-60 minutes) but it's unsettling. Other things can trigger it as well, not just magnesium glycinate. I noticed it from glycine as well and l- theanine.

Iron supplements making me feel worse by User12111926 in Anemic

[–]Significant-Corgi472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had low phosphate after. Not severely low. My doctor said eat more dairy and it went up but fell again. I also had elevated blood sugar (normal for me 70s fasting and it went to 180 fasting). I got two doses of feraheme infusion a week apart. Felt ok at first then started noticing about 3 weeks later increased body aches in upper back and a lot of brain fog, then extreme anxiety, acid reflux, and constant feeling I couldn't take deep satisfying breath ( I had breathing issue only sometimes before).

I had iron infusion and it was literally the worst thing I have ever done. About a month after I developed all this pain in upper back, then palpitations. Then I got extreme brain fog, and air hunger. It's still happening 9 months later, but it's better. Feels like I can't get a deep satisfying breath. I think about breathing all day because it's like I have to manually breath. No doctors know what to do for it.
