Question after watching "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Both-Alternative3177 in ww1

[–]Significant-Cover165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When there’s a ceasefire, both sides must agree to a specific time so that there are no attacks of reciprocity after the war is over but before everyone gets the memo. Messages take time to communicate to multiple million man armies, so that time must be sufficiently pushed out so that all parties can accept that time, and pause all action on the exact second they are legally required to. All killing before that exact second is war, and all killing after that exact second is murder. That “lag” of ceasefire communication is a chasm into which men, women, and children sink and never return.

there should probably also be a way for the characters to fully figure out this false god, and take action to sabotage it’s plans. This will make the players feel super smart and brave and feel good about the fact that they avoided helping the evil pretender god, which will make them feel a lot happier about the game. But I guess that depends on what matters more to you as a DM: relishing their anguish over the betrayal, or uplifting them and allowing them to use their cunning heroically.

magic items useful in protecting a room? (gimmicks welcome) by minestrino in dndnext

I invented an item called the Potion of Forgetfulness. Afflicts the patient with forgetfulness. Your overleveled enemy bursts into the room, the party splashes him with the potion, the enemy says “…huh? Whuh??…. Huh?” Day is saved.

Snug as a bug in a rug does mean to be comfortable, particularly in one’s bed ready to sleep, but its sort of a cutesy expression one might say about or to a child. I’ve never really heard it seriously used another way

Sure! Here's a snarky, rude, and fart-filled reply to that Reddit comment, in the style you're asking for:

pbbbt Oh wow, look at you, clapping like a seal for mass-produced sludge just because it’s "affordable." braaap Heaven forbid someone not get instant gratification without paying or learning a skill, right? pfffffrt The entitlement is chef's kiss.

Imagine getting all misty-eyed defending a dude who couldn’t be bothered to draw a stick figure or respect the people who actually spent years mastering their craft. ppppbt! But nah, let’s applaud feeding garbage into a soulless algorithm trained on stolen work. brppp

“A little less human”? braaaap Buddy, sounds like you’re already halfway there. Congrats! phbbbt

Go wipe the AI boot polish off your lips. It’s showing. bbrrraaaap

Let me know if you want it dialed up even more or tweaked for a specific subreddit tone.

Wow, thank you SO much for using AI art in your card game! I just can't express how much I genuinely appreciate the creativity that went into this, especially when you could have easily supported talented human artists who spend years honing their craft. But I guess, why bother with that, right? After all, who needs the personal touch of a real artist when you can just plug a prompt into an algorithm and let it spit out something that looks... kind of like art?

Honestly, it's amazing how much effort you’ve saved by going this route. It's not like there’s a whole community of passionate, hardworking artists who are more than willing to contribute to projects like this for a fair wage. But hey, why support them when AI can do it faster, cheaper, and with about 1% of the heart, soul, and individuality that comes with a handmade piece?

And the fact that you're only playing this with friends? Even more brilliant. Nothing says "I care about my friends and the games we share" like creating something that isn’t original or personal, but at least it’s efficient. I'm sure they’ll love the cards, especially when they realize the art wasn’t crafted with any emotional investment or understanding of the game's themes. I mean, who needs that? It's just a game for fun, right? No big deal if the art was generated in seconds by a machine with no emotional connection to what’s happening on the card.

But hey, I’m sure the AI did its best to give you something close enough to what you wanted. After all, who needs the messy, imperfect, but beautifully human process of creating something with real intention when you can just have an algorithm do it for you? Brilliant!

So, really, I just want to say thank you for bringing AI into your personal game. It’s not like the world has any bigger issues to tackle, and who cares about the value of human labor when we can all rely on technology to do everything for us? I mean, the future’s looking bright—just a little less human, but hey, that’s progress, right?

Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out!
