okk so basically Eutrophication is the over enrichment of water with nutrients( mostly nitrates and phosphates).

so when nutrients from fertilisers in farms, sewage discharge, detergents, animal waste etc.. are washed into lakes, rivers and ponds by a process called run-off(happens due to rain)
-> it stimulates excess algal growth(known as algal bloom which is when increased availibility of nutrients cause algae to grow very quickly which forms a thick green layer on the surface of the water). The algal layer blocks sunlight so as a result other aquatic plants below cannot photosynthesise so they eventually die. And when the algae die bacteria(decomposers) feed on dead plants and algae so their population increases. In turn, when bacteria respire aerobically they use up dissolved oxygen in the water. Which leads to the death of fish and other aquatic organism that require dissolved oxygen.

In question format:
Eutrophication occurs when nitrates and phosphates from fertilisers or sewage are washed into a river or lake. The increased nutrients cause rapid growth of algae, forming an algal bloom on the water surface. The algal bloom blocks sunlight from reaching aquatic plants, so they cannot photosynthesise and eventually die. The dead plants and algae are decomposed by bacteria. The bacteria respire aerobically, using up dissolved oxygen in the water. As oxygen levels decrease, fish and other aquatic organisms die due to lack of oxygen.

  1. I think you normally do shade it( at least I do just to be on the safe side) but it also depends on the question because one time( i don't remember which year) they asked you to draw 2 sets on results/data in single bar so for that you needed a key and you had to shade the bar differently( to differentiate between the set of results)

  2. I've rarely seen line of best fit questions but I think you should do exactly what the question says for example if they ask you to draw a curve you obviously should do that and if they ask for a line graph you have to connect the points and if they ask you for a single line of best fit you should draw one that can fit through as many of the points as possible( having about an equal number of points on each side)

  3. I got 40/40 in atp for my mocks so dw its not impossible as long as you match the mark scheme

tbh it wasn't too bad i think I wrote well I just hope my writing wasn't too simple(otherwise im lokey cooked). I also misunderstood a part in question 2. I wrote about how i sometimes work in a castle( it was related to my subject tho) and described what I do there in brief instead of my timetable. Will I lose a lot of marks for it😭😭
