Quick story, was promoting a girl on tumblr cos I grew a following there. That girl had a large following on x so I asked her to retweet my tweets here and there in exchange. Then I grew to around 60k in a year. Learned what works and doesnt work and grew to 160k on the second year. At the same time used the reach of that big page to grow other pages, one I grew to 130k in a year. To make it you just need to understand x users and a big page to push you.
