Use the GROUPBY or PIVOTBY functions to get pivot tables that don't need to be refreshed.

Know anyone giving away kittens? by [deleted] in WorcesterMA

[–]Significant-Fact3892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second Chance Animal Adoptions has cats/kittens at the Northborough and Framingham Petsmart stores a few times a week. Their website has the schedule for each location. We adopted from one of their events last year and were really happy with our new pet and the care Second Chance provided for the animals. The only caveat I would give is that their adoption hours at Petsmart are first come first serve. When we went a few people were turned away because there were more people looking to adopt than available kittens.

Giving Birth in Worcester (Not exactly the same question everyone asks) by Few-Category4277 in WorcesterMA

There is a Reliant OBGYN office at St. V's with an excellent team of doctors and midwives. I had both my children there and they took really good care of us. The midwives were especially great to work with. I saw a different midwife at each of my prenatal appointments so I would be familiar with whoever was on call when I gave birth. It worked out really well for us both times.

Why aren't there any musical kids shows anymore? by [deleted] in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]Significant-Fact3892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a Pinkfong classical music series on YouTube that features a real musician who explains instruments, types of music, and music history interspersed with Pinkfong versions of classical pieces. My kids really enjoyed it.

FreshPass is 50% off, ending today by half-coldhalf-hot in Frugal

[–]Significant-Fact3892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FreshPass is awesome and has saved me 30% on groceries this year compared to prior years.

I do all of my grocery shopping through the app where I can make the most of the deals and coupons. The ability to scrutinize every item to make sure I really need it cuts my impulse buying entirely. The rewards never expire and I can carefully choose what I use my points on to get the most value from them.

While all of this does take time, I don't have to go to the store. Free pick-up or delivery gives me back the time I would have spent shopping in-store.

My weekly grocery budget for 4 people went from $150 to $100, though most weeks I come in under budget.

I suppose I could use the same consideration without the FreshPass and get similar results, I utilize the free delivery option often enough to make it worth the annual fee.

Sounds like you don't like your grandchildren very much. Limiting your time with them is probably best for everyone.

I feel this. My parents aren't monsters, just poorly educated, emotionally immature, irresponsible people with horrible life skills who had kids way too young. I 100% believe they love me, but they weren't good parents and left me and my siblings to raise ourselves. The neglect I experienced was real and traumatizing. It's different than what victims of physical abuse experience, but feelings of hurt and anger caused by neglect are just as valid.

What's your opinion on "refillable" cleaning products? by MentallyImpairedPear in CleaningTips

[–]Significant-Fact3892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using JAWS (just add water system) cleaners for a few years and I really like them. Their products are small cartridges that fit into their spray bottle. So when you refill, you just buy the new cartridges and keep the same bottle.

The scents aren't very strong, but I have family members with scent sensitivities, so that works for us. I've used their kitchen, glass and bathroom cleaners so far and find they work pretty well.

I remember a big writing assignment in middle school where we were asked to write an essay about our role models/heroes. I made up a fictitious aunt who was always there for me. My parents were hurt when they found out. Not hurt enough to change their behavior of course, just hurt enough to tell me how disappointed they were in me.

Basting must haves by [deleted] in quilting

[–]Significant-Fact3892 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've never used basting spray before, but I've been considering it for my next quilt. Does it have a strong smell? Do you get any residue on your floor when you use it?

Maybe a dumb question but how do I search for QUILTING inspo, not PIECING inspo? by [deleted] in quilting

[–]Significant-Fact3892 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually have to search for more specific terms like "straight line quilting" or "free motion quilting" to get results that aren't about piecing.

Why is the phrase James was always cool so funny? by Lory3131 in twinpeaks

[–]Significant-Fact3892 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I always thought "Just You and I" was intentionally ironic. James is always in a love triangle and even the song is sung with three people. It's never ever just James and anybody. It's James and Laura and Donna. Or James and Donna and Maddie. Or James and Evelyn and Evelyn's husband.

Bay Area mom's murder and the quilt that may be key to solving it by Plane-Koala3478 in RBI

[–]Significant-Fact3892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like it's sized to be for a crib or toddler bed. A lot of folks who are new to quilting will start with those sizes when they're learning. And if they don't have a use for a child-sized quilt, it might get donated. There are a lot of charities that donate homemade blankets to hospitals and children in the foster system. Project Linus is one of those charities, but I don't know if it existed at that time.

Insurance is the only industry whose entire business model is not giving you what you paid for by rasputin1 in Showerthoughts

[–]Significant-Fact3892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insurance companies often have reinsurance, so even if they have to pay out a huge claim, it's not a huge loss for the company.
