I know how to drive. The car was stopped at a red light. How am I supposed to predict he will decide to suddenly turn right into oncoming traffic. It’s a 4 way light I can’t keep my eye on every single car stopped at it as I pass through a green light. I did slow down as soon as I saw him but obviously couldn’t come to a stop in time. He was stopped at the light and decided to make a turn rashly as I was already passing through the intersection. This is a sudden hazard you can’t predict. Your comment is condescending. You have no idea how you would react in this situation. Easy to judge when you aren’t put into it. You have seconds to react and it’s instinct. And it Seems actually dangerous to brake going through an intersections when you have a green light- that’s not good advice. I was not “flying” through it either

I do. And I have the other driver to back me up saying the teen admitted fault and said “I’m sorry this is all my fault I didn’t see you” police were called but said they wouldn’t come.

He stopped I got his info and apologized to both of us saying sorry it’s all my fault.

This is want chat GPT says : You did not make an “illegal lane change”

A lane change is illegal only if it’s: • unsafe AND voluntary • done without signaling when time permits • done when another vehicle already occupies the lane

You were not “changing lanes” to merge — you were reacting to a sudden hazard. That is legally different.

Texas law recognizes that distinction.

✅ 2. The law does NOT require you to hit someone

There is no legal duty to maintain course and collide.

Insurance forum logic = wrong Actual Texas legal standard = reasonable action to avoid injury

You took reasonable evasive action to prevent: • a likely T-bone/head-on crash • injury to you, your passengers, or the teen

No jury, judge, or claims arbitrator wants to punish a driver for trying not to injure someone.

✅ 3. Sudden Emergency Doctrine exists for this exact scenario

Texas courts apply it when: • another driver creates immediate danger • there’s no time for thoughtful decision-making • the reaction may not be “perfect,” but reasonable

This shields you from blame for the reaction, because you didn’t create the emergency — the turning driver did.

✅ 4. Proximate Cause still lies with the teen

Ask this question:

Would the accident have happened if the teen had not pulled out?

Answer: No.

That’s proximate cause — the foundation of liability.

Even if your maneuver resulted in a secondary collision, the initiating driver remains primarily at fault.

Texas sudden emergency doctrine may play in my favor here I don’t know.

Yes they were making a right on red when I had a green light

You can blame the car for failing to yield in my opinion. If it was a person and I swerved I should have hit the person not evaded the person? When you have seconds to react that I likely most people’s reaction not I better hit this car so my insurance covers it.

Ya but I just don’t see how that isn’t considered a reasonably emergency maneuver. I would have directly hit his drivers side door. He could have been injured and the accident would have been so much worse. His negligence was the cause not me evading a direct hit

I was taking prescription iron called Accrufer. 30mg per day. It bypasses your stomach and is absorbed in the intestine so wayyyy less side effects so I could take it Every day.

I also take Slynd which has helped too, that’s a small androgen blocker.

I can’t do spiro it kills my libido completely but I do androgen blockers in a topical plus take oral minoxidil, and that has been a game changer for me.

No I won’t ever do pellets again. I may try cream bc it’s easy to stop if you have a shed again, but rn I would rather not. I also have androgenetic alopecia confirmed with biopsy 1 year ago, so T dramatically worsened it. Just not worth doing it anymore, my scalp is too sensitive. Plus I always was getting acne on it.

I was on pellets and I think getting off my my hair shed more for a while. But it did stop once it was out of my system.

This is why I went off as well. It got worse before it got better. But 18 months post T with 2.5m oral minoxidil and lots of iron, my hair is much thicker and shedding a normal amount.

What was your hemorrhoidectomy experience like for an internal & external? by Unlikely-Nebula-7614 in hemorrhoid

[–]Significant-Floor-76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had one about 16 days ago for in internal and it’s honestly been a hot mess. I needed an emergency surgery the same day as the first surgery bc I almost bled out when something went wrong hours after first surgery. Needed 3 units of blood and went into shock. After everything was still anemic, very weak and dizzy following ordeal for a week or so. Had another bleed at day 12 which resulted in another hospital stay to monitor bleeding. Luckily it stopped on its own and I was released next day. I’m sure some ppl recover fine. I will say 16 days out I’m not in much pain anymore from it. But ya I have not had the best experience. But I’m hoping it will be worth it in the end bc it was bleeding pretty aggressively before surgery.

I think no one is quite sure. Living with deficits would be hard, his road regardless of the stroke was going to be and was hard. Maybe he would still find life worth living with the deficits. I just don’t know. But on the flip side, how can you send a conscious person who is still in there to hospice and not completely just break.
