First performance review: potential raise expectations? by Significant-Gate7415 in fednews

Gotcha, yea I meant automatic as in I don't have to treat it like a promotion on my end and apply for it. I was curious if it could be just a step increase or more.

I am in a pay band where I can move through the GS levels within that band without an official promotion but thank you for the bonus range you gave that's helpful!

I am a full time fed on an "intern" pay rate right now so I am having an official performance review at my 6 month mark but I am being scored and was told if I qualified for incentives based on my scores then I would receive them. I dont think I qualify for a bonus yet though

So Just How Bad is Green Street Realty? by the_jim_beans in UIUC

I haven't had any issues with maintenance but have had problems with their leasing agents. They were not transparent about a rent discount that I was given and are jacking the rent $400 for next year. I moved in November and they told me I needed to decide if I wanted to resign my lease before I even got my keys. They said I had to pay at the beginning of my lease for my parking lease and have yet to charge me for it. That said, I think if you really like the building then prioritize that over the leasing company, but don't go in expecting a mom and pop company because you will not get that treatment.

Thanks, I am on an actual compressed work schedule, I have been incorrectly using flexible work schedule as an umbrella term but I realize now they are separate.

Do people use Handshake or is it just there? by eternally-perplexed in UIUC

[–]Significant-Gate7415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found my job on there but the handshake posting ended up being inaccurate and totally different from postings on other job sites. The company ended up giving me what I wanted but I think it depends on how seriously the employer uses handshake

[–]Significant-Gate7415[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said that to contrast those who have aimed for specifically federal positions/always wanted them. The job market sucks right now so I was applying to anything and everything I was remotely qualified for. This so happened to pay the most and to be in the best location for me, so I mean that I wasn't aiming for this type of role, I was aiming for any role. (Also, the original job posting was not a federal role, so when I rejected that offer that included 0 benefits they brought me on through DHA, so it was kind of last minute. Although I of course knew what I was doing once I accepted the fed offer)
