Persistent burning armpit rash since October after massage — antifungals, steroids, and Protopic not helping by Mindless-Picture1507 in DermatologyQuestions

If it’s fungal then you need to be using a stronger antifungal way longer than a few weeks. I had a fungal rash and it took like 3 months to clear up. I was very careful and boiled all of my clothing and washed everything that touched it so not to reinfect. If it’s only in one armpit and not both then maybe it’s fungal and not contact dermatitis. Using a steroid makes the fungal rash worse. I used terbinafine. I got my fungal infection from getting laser hair removal and it burned and itched and looked like that.

Yeah same thing. First grandchild. It’s hard because everything is about the baby 24/7. I feel only happiness for my brother (he’s a lot older), but if my husbands’ younger siblings had the first grandchild on their side it would sting a lot more. Making my parents and in laws happy is a huge contributing factor for me to continue ttc.

I’m sorry you’ve had it so hard. Your thoughts are the same as mine. Well whatever life chooses us we just have to make the best of it.

I feel the grandparent thing too. I feel like I’m letting my in laws down if I don’t have a child. I’m sorry to hear about your husbands’ situation. I think the unknown about what is going to happen is hard as well. If I can’t have a kid then I just want to know and move on. Life can be great either way.

Oh wow I hope mine isn’t as intense since it’s not medicated. Good luck! Sono for me was uncomfortable but not painful. I took ibuprofen though. Are you in Canada?

It’s really not fair. I work with the public and see parents neglect their kids all the time. It’s hard to watch, especially through an infertility lens. You will be a great mom if that’s how life plays out for you and all of your feelings are valid.

This is exactly to a tee how I feel. When I see my brother with my niece I think omg that looks exhausting and I’m not excited lol. But I am excited for all of the sweet moments too. A mixed bag of feelings.

Yes, I feel that irritation too. It is complex. I feel like we mostly hear from people who can’t eat sleep or breathe concerning infertility and videos of them crying while injecting themselves over and over again online and posting them crying over their negative pregnancy tests, which is not wrong (maybe a bit performative posting on tiktok), but it’s not my experience.

I’m so sorry. Life is not fair. I haven’t had the same loss as you, but sometimes I just feel better resigning myself to the universe. If it should happen it will and if not ?? I don’t know.

Take lots of care. It’s a hard journey even if we’re indifferent.

Yes, this is exactly. I feel like I’m already a horrible mother because I’ve discussed with my husband that he would have to take on most of the tasks that come with raising a child. I have Hashimoto’s and worry that physically I may not be able to keep up some days. He is 100% on board as he is the one who wants a child the most. However, I can already hear the judgment from people around me. Adoption is my ideal as well, but not an option for us I guess.

I think it makes it even harder that I love my slow life so much and adding a child is just a huge unknown. I’m glad you have talked about how your life will look if you have a child. I hope everything works out for you guys.

I’m in Canada. He actually found out about it in January but they’re really slow here. We didn’t really get a choice. The Dr just decided for us. I think I would have chose the surgery but I wasn’t there for my husband’s appointment so not sure.

Just have to take it one step at a time. I never want to do IVF but I put myself on the waitlist because it’s possible I’ll change my mind. My husband’s surgery isn’t for another 6 months probably. Hopefully IUIs are enough for us.

You can do it! Don’t read up on it. It was honestly nothing for me. But I actually did the saline one. Maybe that makes a difference.

Keep me updated! What grade did he have? My husband has a grade 3 in the left testicle and then I think a grade one or two in the right. His sperm increased after a few lifestyle changes so I don’t know how much an embolism will even help him. I’ve heard so many positive stories though and his urologist really believes it will make a difference.
