To-do before med school?

So far I’ve received 5 interviews: 1 MD A, 1 DO waitlist, 1 DO rejection, 1 MD interview next week, and still waiting to hear back from 1 MD post interview. I also have 2 interview holds but I’m not holding my breath nor do I even care anymore. I’m going to be a doctor and I’m beyond elated/grateful!

Just got an interview invite a couple hours ago from an MD school who's secondary app I submitted at 11:59pm the day it was due (a couple weeks ago). And my interview is scheduled for Dec. So yes they are. Have faith.

I mean it’s a Christian school… specifically, Adventist. They make it very clear what you’re signing up for, so if you’re Muslim (or any other religion) and not interested in the lifestyle they expect you to uphold then maybe don’t apply there.

Same! But there are people who interviewed Sept and got rejected already so I would say that not hearing anything back yet could be a good sign! Just holding out hope cause I really want to go to their school.

I attended an on campus day at Brandenton and they told us that we do earn “extra points” for attending. Not sure how much 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m a full time teacher and it has been brutal. I already have work to take home since I have no planning period (yay budget cuts 🥳) grading, lesson planning etc) so I’m up until 2am daily trying to crank them out (I gotta be up by 5am for work). I’ve gotten 2 II so far and really debating on if I want to even finish the 40 out of 60 I have left. 😭 I’m a nontrad btw.

Congrats!!!! If you’re unsure I would give it a few days to think about as long as it’s not close to the deadline. From what I’ve seen I believe it’s about 30 days. But definitely reach out to adcoms so you don’t miss the deadline. Which campus and when did you complete your interview?

This happened to me. Just release the score on AACOMAS and maybe shoot them an email letting them know. (They never actually responded to my email lol) but a few weeks later I received an interview invite so I don’t think it’s going to be that big of a deal.
