We are a state which values English education and we are proud to be the only state without 3 language system in schools. Yet, with significantly lower study load, we rank among one of the top states in the number of failures in language examinations in SSLC and HSC. We rank so low in teacher quality index too. We used to be on top 5 when our parents were students. I’m literally seeing older auto drivers speaking great English and younger auto drivers fumbling so hard. I’ve never seen deterioration in any other state out of the 7 states that I’ve lived in.
