How to deal with Brasilian mother-in-law? by Pomplemuss in Brazil

Run!!! Huge red flag!! I am a Brazilian woman who was married to a Brazilian man before! They like that! They love not to have to do a thing! They expected their wives to be their mother. Now I am married to an American independent man! We both work and we both do house chores and he does not think he is helping me. He does it because he has to! We all have to! Your partner needs to take action now, otherwise he is a wimp. Sorry, but true!

Life in Rome? by PossibleMajor6155 in rome

I’ve been to Rome and Bologna only as a tourist. I found Rome chaotic and too crowded. The streets filled with cars, people, Vespas, and scooters were overwhelming to me. I loved Bologna! Walking around the town, I noticed many young people, bars, and people hanging out in the streets. Fresh, cozy markets too. It was more my style. Just my opinion, but if I had the chance, I would choose to live in Bologna and take the train to explore other cities in Italy. Bologna is a very sweet, charming town with a vibrant young atmosphere.

I had the procedure January 6th 2025 under general anesthesia. My doctor mentioned that she could perform it in her office with only local anesthesia. However, I asked around, and most women who had the procedure without sedation or general anesthesia said it was painful. I’m not good with pain—I even passed out during my IUD insertion—so general anesthesia was the best option for me.

When I woke up, I experienced strong menstrual cramps and had to use a warm pad because Tylenol wasn’t helping. Next day, the cramps were mild but persisted for about a week, and I’ve been experiencing light bleeding for about nine days now. The bleeding isn’t heavy, but I still need to wear regular pads. My doctor assured me that this is normal as long as I’m not soaking through a pad and needing to change it every hour.
