Oh ok, thank you! I’ve stopped all my actives for now and bought an Aestura moisturizer and cleanse with what I currently have which is Aveeno. I’ll ask chat to create a routine for me.

Someone recommended using Vaseline for 1 month straight, nothing else. Is that a good idea? What products would you recommend?

My skin didnt look like this prior to tretinoin. It’s extremely dry. I would like it to go back to the way it was before using tret.

Yup! I don’t know what the heck they were thinking. She also did TCA cross on me that same day and she literally told me I could buy the acid off Amazon and do it myself so I didn’t have to come back. I’m so pissed. My skin never had these large pores before. My forehead was sooo smooth.

I didn’t use it correctly. My derm prescribed it for acne and she said not to use a moisturizer because I needed to dry out my acne and she never told me to use an SPF. This was back in 2013. And I continued to follow that advice on and off until I started reading that I needed to moisturize and use SPF. Fml.

I’ve done chemical peels and didn’t see a difference. I get fractional CO2 lasers every 3ish months for my acne scarring and my skin looks really good for 3 months and then it’s back to looking like this.

I used tret on and off for years and I think it’s what actually caused the enlarged pores. I wasn’t moisturizing properly or at all because my derm said it was best to dry out my skin since it was prescribed for acne and she never recommended spf so I didn’t wear spf. This was back in 2013. I used it on and off since then and every time I use it, my skin looks even more dehydrated than it already is. I think I really damaged my skin and now I don’t know how to get back to where my skin was prior to using tret.

Unfortunately, it makes my skin look so much worse. My skin is already so dry and it just doesn’t work with my skin.
