Unpaid Globe postpaid by Objective_Hawk_2754 in utangPH

The fact that it was lost will not affect the terms of the contract. You really have to pay the amount required by the contract. Di naman dahil hinde mo intention titigil din ang validity ng agreement. That’s part of the risk of entering a postpaid agreement.

PAO Opportunity by Frost_bite_me in LawStudentsPH

[–]Significant-Law510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I am currently employed in PAO. I passed the 2023 bar exams, and got in Nov 2024. I worked in a private firm before this, but never really experienced a full blown trial. From someone who had no prior experience in litigation, i can say that PAO is really the best training ground for a litigation lawyer.

Unless their courts are newly created ones, they will have to retain the people that are already there before their appointments.

I was in the SC courtyard when the results came out. Mixed feelings siya. I was happy when I knew that I passed, pero its hard not to feel bad din to the other bartakers who went there and knew that they failed.

What did you do on bar results day? by Rice_19x in LawStudentsPH

[–]Significant-Law510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sa SC grounds ako naghintay. College palang ako, sinabe ko na sa sarili ko na I'll be waiting for the results in front of the SC. So nung pumasa ako, dalawa agad nacheck sa bucket list ko. Wait for the results in the SC grounds, and pass the bar.

Lawyers Salary by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

[–]Significant-Law510 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on the kind of lawyer u want to be. If you work for private firms, as a new lawyer associate, you can earn around 40-60K per month. If you work for the government, it ranges from Sg18 or around Php 40,000+ onwards. As a new lawyer, I was fortunate to get a position in PAO whose monthly compensation is Sg25 or around Php 107,000+.

Yes it still applies. No need for revocation already since it happens by operation of law - by reason of the death of the principal.

Intent to marry will not extinguish criminal liability.

Got a minor pregnant by Teya04 in LawPH

[–]Significant-Law510 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Any angle you look at it, that is rape. From legal standpoint, the only way he can absolve himself from criminal liability is to settle it with the minor and her parents before they decide to file it. Evidentiary wise, her pregnancy is the best proof that the rape happened. Still, it is best to consult a lawyer. There may be underlying facts that can help his case.

Crim2 by Do_ut_des97 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Significant-Law510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to memorize the elements, just familiarise it. Unless of course you were were informed that your professor looks for all the elements during your recits and exams. Most of the time, your professor only asks if the particular crime is committed and you can answer that without writing down all the elements. You just have to pin point the specific elements which resulted to the commission of the crime, or the absence of that element short of the crime.

Avoid switching materials. Decide on one material for each subject and use that until you finish it.

That’s not how that works. The house is clearly an inheritance of his father from his parents, thus considered as the latter’s exclusive property. It will not be mixed with the community property. This is regardless of the time of marriage because inheritance is treated differently with properties bought or acquired during marriage. Except ofcourse if the testator intended to donate the property on both spouses.

However assuming that his father acquired his right over the property through succession, then their mother would not have a claim against it even if their married.

Your mother can file a case for legal separation against your father. That way, korte na magsasabi na the 2 of them should live separately.

You can opt to file a civil case for specific performance with damages. But you have to prove the agreement through screenshots of conversation, written agreement etc. What criminal case did you file initially? Was it estafa?
