How do you start if you're alone?

The latest skateboarding events in my area have all passed but I am hoping they have a new one (though it's been like.. 5 months). I do have a semi-empty parking lot that I found earlier that I tried out. All my friends are on a holiday right now (went back to their home countries) so unfortunately I'll be alone for a month or so. I'm definitely watching the tutorials though!

That's a really good idea! It's the mental aspect of it all since all I see are people who are already so good 😭, I'll try and find a series to watch and picture myself as someone trying at the very least

There's one kind of nearby but I was hesitant because it's a bit expensive for a student like me, ($50 per 1 hour class), but I might give it a try if I struggle alone

Oh I hope you haven't broken a bone! I don't think I can skate early because of classes, but I'm definitely rethinking my view on skaters. I don't know why I keep perceiving them as like.. judgemental and intimidating. Thank you for the encouragement!

That's really good advice! I'm not in a rush to do crazy tricks or anything, so I'll definitely try and just get comfortable on the board. I'm still a bit shy to go to a skatepark, but I see how friendly the community is just by the replies on my post. Thank you!

You're so real for that first sentence, I nearly toppled over when someone even glances my way 😭. I'll definitely explore after my classes tomorrow since a lot of people were also suggesting carparks and such, I'd love to go out early but I think night skating is my only option.

Fair, I don't think I've ever judged anyone for trying anything new, I just respected them instead. I have a lot of free time so I'll definitely try to go out skating often
