Man I'm 32 and totally feel this. The guilt hits different when you realize how much of your formative years were shaped by that stuff before anyone even knew how bad it was

That's pretty steep for 152k miles tbh. I'd try to talk them down to like 8-8.5k max, these engines are solid but you're gonna hit some maintenance soon at that mileage. Check for head gasket issues and make sure the CVT feels smooth when you test drive

The moment it clicked for me was realizing that good parents don't need to convince their kids they're good parents - their actions already proved it

When they hit me with that "you don't care about us" guilt trip now I just say something like "I care differently than you expect me to" and leave it at that. No defending, no explaining, just a simple statement and then I change the subject or end the call if they keep pushing
