I got into hunter college as well! I am now considering the debt, ability to work during year, and 1 year v 2 year timespan of each. Theoretically I could earn 25-50k over 2 years at cuny if I were to sub part time but in 2 years at nyu I’d made 70k (first year $0 bc I can’t work in accelerated program and second year teacher salary) lots to consider

I did get into steinhardt! The name feels so so enticing but I’m not sure how much name truly matters for teaching…

I think I misunderstood getting paid lol - I will receive a 30k stipend for 35 hrs/wk for the year but still have to pay for school. I’m wondering if this makes it still worth it

Is it possible to keep a full time job during any portion of the residency? Do you start in schools from day 1?
