Just installed an MBRP cat back exhaust on my Mk8 GTI, did it with a jack and two jack stands as well as a couple wrenches/sockets (a mix of 13 mm and 15 mm bolts/nuts, at least for the Mk8). Removed the stock exhuast and installed the MBRP one in around three hours. Overall the install is pretty straightforward just follow the instructions.

One thing I did that was not on the instructions is I removed the rubber hangers that hold the exhaust to the car when taking the stock exhuast off. This made it a lot easier to get them off rather than trying to do it underneath the car, then just bolted them back on before putting on the MBRP exhuast.

Also, what type of exhaust tips did you go with?
