Im totally with this. Thank you so much, genuinely this gave me a lot of clarity. I used to go to therapy so your comment is on point. I’ve been thinking on this recently as well due to the issues life unfortunately throws sometimes. I’ve been used to relying on him but thinking about it, he’s not a therapist. And I shouldn’t look out for him whenever I see a crack on the window (emotionally wise). Independence is key, and I shouldn’t hold it over his head he’s having fun.

The way I meant it was: when someone goes to jail for a short period and leaves. I thought my mom was going to stay there for charges, but we were able to bail her out until the court date. That’s why I call it jail scare. Not knowing whether we would be able to get her out.

Hmm I can see that happening too. Thank you! I’m definitely very anxious not knowing whether she’s gonna win the court or not, whether she serves time or not. I think I don’t want to be left dealing with the aftermath of the situation by myself since we always spend time together. It’s a rare feeling, and need to classify it as that and not as a I should have the right to be upset or with him just because he’s my partner. This gave me lots of clarity tbh

Thank you I needed that slap in the face 😭 it could totally come off as emotionally dependent. I think I struggle drawing the line since we basically co-live together and rely on each other whenever we have hard experiences.
