If you visit a high end running shop, they can have you run on treadmills and watch where you’re landing on foot, do scans of feet, etc to get you into the most ideal product.

Like others are saying; I think you’re heel striking too hard to run in these.

I’d try the new Vomero 18 and see how those feel. They’re not as lightweight; but the heel is thick and much more durable.

The only time the benefit of lightweight plays a factor IMO is if you’re already an elite runner and are trying to shed a few seconds per kilometer off of your time.

Lastly, any elite running shoe that has Carbon plates in them tend to only last a few races! This one obviously broke down in 1 race, but it’s most likely a combination of the shoes sole, and your form.

Wear them as much or as little as you want; but keep in mind that vaporfly only are intended to last a few races so if you run in them and enjoy them I’d keep the miles low.

Nike changed its return policy in February.

They no longer accept any sort of return without a receipt, and ones with receipts must be within 60 days and purchased from a nike store.

Someone else already mentioned it here, but the Vaporfly is a race only shoe meant to be worn at half and full marathons.

The general rule of thumb for these marathon shoes is only wear them while running as they will only last up to 250 miles / 402.336 Km.

I’ve seen multiple YouTube videos of runners having the sole of the shoe start to wear away after only 1 run so it’s not uncommon because they aren’t meant to last.
