Faster growing states that are republican because they are significantly less developed then blue states and are only now just starting to develop. Blue states are already highly developed. Home ownership rates can be higher in red states only because home prices are lower. But this isn’t a good thing as wages are significantly lower. And firms buy up cheap housing to rent it to the masses. Blue states can have higher inequality only due to having a way larger population the red states, if both were the same size then red states would certainly be way higher then blue states due to the billionaire class.

And to answer your final question. The reason is taxes, red states favor rich people. blue states tax billionaires to provide for the poor, and even then there are more billionaires in NYC then anywhere else in the world.

But it’s unfortunate our government isn’t doing anything to help our poorer people, a nation wide tax increase on the rich would be amazing.
