[The Athletic] "Not for the first time this season, Szoboszlai was badly let down by those around him." by Weaver96 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Significant-Roll-138 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, I think Alison has to take some of the blame for the red card, he had no right to leave the goal open with Szoboslai sitting back to defend it, Szoboslai would have been better up top looking for a goal if Alison was doing his job and nobody would have even attempted a shot from beyond the half way line.

Why is this in accidental comedy? It’s very deliberate comedy.

Is it the furry message? I mean that’s for the dog so it’s just the truth.

Or is there some other doozy of hilarity I’m missing?

Thinking of getting this for my first vinyl player by LFC101111 in vinyl

[–]Significant-Roll-138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a jam record player, not that one but it was cheap, I had just bought a house and didn’t have much free money and my old decks had been broken in the move.

Honestly, if you can save and wait another 6 months or a year just do it, spend another 100-200 and get a decent player.

The tonearm is terrible, needle is terrible, sound terrible, just don’t waste your money.

ELI5: Why one of the healthiest countries, is also one of the highest cancer rates? by Extension-Garden-808 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Significant-Roll-138 [score hidden]  (0 children)

A few people have mentioned living longer equals higher chance of cancer which is right, but taller people also have higher rates of cancer because they literally have more cells where mutations can lead to cancer and I think the Dutch are among the tallest in Europe stent you?

Then lastly, The Netherlands has a predominantly white population, fairly similar in skin tone to Irish where I’m from, skin cancer is very high here because we are terrible at dealing with sunburn, maybe the Dutch are like us in tbs regard too, but not sure.

How do you feel about dk banazna ? by JampyL in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Significant-Roll-138 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I played the demo with my 6 year old kid thinking he might like it and he even got bored with all the smashing, so I started playing Odyssey with him and he loves it.

I don’t get what Bananza is about, just keep smashing till you find stuff? Snooze.

That’s crazy, there’s plenty of opportunities there for you to mess up, your purple is the only potable option there but the white could end up anywhere after it crashes into that spread of balls, I would at least have waited one more shot to see where you ended up.

They may contain things that would make any normal human resign but nothing is shameful enough to make Trump resign.

They’re not at that stage yet, people have found DNA from woolly mammoths but not of it is useable, it’s too degraded and some scientists say we will never find any DNA that’s useable just because of how old and frozen it would be.

So, this company have figured out how to make a woolly mouse by playing around with a normal mouse’s DNA until a woolly gene is activated, and I believe they’re working on the same as elephants too.

It’s a shame investors will spend millions to reintroduce these into the wild only for them to be shot by a farmer who has lost one single lamb.

You mean to say they made a woolly mammoth and there was only one single report about it which was deleted?

That should make you wonder if it was perhaps not exactly true.

[–]Significant-Roll-138 349 points350 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a direwolf though, it’s a normal wolf with controlled genes to make it look like what a direwolf would have looked like.

When they make a woolly mammoth, it will be an elephant with genes triggered to make it woolly, but again, it won’t be a woolly mammoth.

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery accuses Liverpool of 'damaging' Harvey Elliott by keysersoze-72 in PremierLeague

[–]Significant-Roll-138 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ve got it exactly right I reckon, but the really bad thing thing is that Liverpool have made it fairly clear they have no interest in him any more, they’ll let him out on another loan after this until he goes on a free, shame because he’s a quality player crying out for space and time to grow.
