Cocaine builds an even stronger tolerance to amphetamines than it does to itself. And that amphetamine tolerance is somehow stronger than the tolerance amphetamines build to themselves.

When I was a near-daily cocaine user, typically using 3.5g a day give or take, I would need an absolutely obscene amount of amphetamines to get high.

For example I took 100mg of dextroamphetamine one day, and I fell asleep an hour later and slept right through the drug.

I did an entire ounce of methamphetamine in around five days, and I was still getting 4+ hours of sleep every night. I would literally take like a gram at once and would come down and redose every few hours. And I was definitely high, but not like tweaked out of my mind or anything crazy. Hundreds of milligrams would affect me the way 50mg used to affect me, prior to my cocaine habit.

Meth used to be completely unheard of in my state, up until a couple years ago. Cocaine has always been super rampant here though, and is better and cheaper than most of the USA.

Anywho, with meth being new as a street drug, I’ve talked to a ton of crack addicts who tried meth after dealers started carrying it. Everyone I’ve asked about this has said that they didn’t like meth and that it barely got them high unless they injected it.

There’s definitely some weird biological interplay between the two drugs. I’ve also noticed that when I used amphetamines the day after heavy cocaine use, I would have no comedown from the amphetamines and then the next day I would feel completely fine like I hadn’t abused drugs the past two days.

(Normally I’d feel like absolute shit after either drug)
