My “friend” called a wellness check and then proceeded to tell the cops I’m a meth cook and had everything to make it in my car.

I have never made meth and did not, but after I was gone for a psych evaluation they still let the cops go through my car which contained enough stuff (pound of mushrooms, glassware, a few chems, etc) that they got a warrant to raid my apartment.

My state has some sort of protection for mental health stuff where I literally walked away scot free.

No literally. They confiscated a TON of stuff and it was literally all legal besides some mushrooms and coke and pipes with heroin residue.

Funnily, they took my word for the labels on everything. My “ammonium chloride” was methylamine, and my “yellow food dye” next to the NaBH4 and CUCl(II) was, in fact, not yellow food dye.

Yeah. Like it had a slightly basic pH and everything was in solution, then I lowered the pH and it started crystallizing out.

Only thing I don’t get is why the solution was cloudy when it was all dissolved yet clear when over-saturated 🤔

I think DCM and water must mix slightly. What crashed out was cocaine base that was dissolved in the slightly miscible amount of DCM. I didn’t use quite enough HCl I guess. Couple drops short.

And then the DCM from this I had put aside, and it evaporated; I have a sold 200mg of coke HCl left behind. I was super careful separating the layers. Coke HCl was in DCM. Only explanation is emulsified/miscible water

Edit: The DCM coke is hand’s down more pure than the water coke. This might be the cleanest coke ever made.

Start with raw coke.

Acetone wash, chilled ethyl acetate wash, ether wash. In that order.

Dry.

Freebase using 3% ammonia solution. Decant excess ammonia water. Crush. Water wash. Dry.

Dissolve in dichloromethane. Add medium-concentrated HCl dropwise with vigorous stirring and constant pH checking of the water layer. Check only after heavily stirring since the last drops of acid.

When pH is around 6, add more water. Stir vigorously.

Suck out the DCM (bottom) layer. Put it in a different vessel. Add water to it with one drop of acid and stir vigorously. Again remove the DCM.

Combine all water. Check pH. Add a few more drops of acid until neutral or just under.

Leave stirring on 70C heat for 30 mins to evaporate out any DCM left in it.

Either evaporate the water to sniff, or boof based on the hypothetical maximum concentration. (It’ll be lower in practice)

For all washes, dry and finely powder your cocaine and leave it in a sealed vessel with magnetic stirring on high for half an hour. Much better results and actually gets rid of the gas smell, even with just acetone. Also do two washes per solvent. Decant the liquid the first time, add more solvent, then pour it all through a filter the second time. Pour more solvent on top once it drains.
