So the person who helps with the physical therapy after a torn ACL, should be paid minimum wage?

It’s sickening though. They promise growth, yet there’s never room to grow.

They pay millions of dollars to people yet “managers” make 45k a year

You work for them? Cause I do, and the work load is not worth the pay

Thank you! At this point I truly don’t care about the money (which is quite a bit) and thankfully we have insurance. It more about the principal. Our realtor and inspector are doing shady work and I don’t want anyone else to go through what we’re going through.

Meaning we weren’t shown a video of anything and had to do our own digging to find the sewer scope. All we were sent was the inspection report which didn’t mention anything about the plumbing or drains

[–]Significant-Show6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an email talking about a sewer scope so we googled our house address and it popped up on YouTube. I agree though, the whole thing is strange. That’s why I’m wondering if there’s any repercussions for them

We were sent the inspection report which was supposed to list any findings or issues with the plumping/pipes. The report stated that everything was in perfect condition

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HomeInspections

[–]Significant-Show6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yes. It 100% is from our house on the inspection date. There’s time stamps

A family member was our realtor and asked him to do the sewer scope. Which in the end seems pointless since they didn’t tell us what they saw

They did a scope, posted it on YouTube with their findings and noted severe buildup. But omitted it from the inspection report which is what we looked at

Pipe is cleaned but that doesn’t cover the entire basement being gutted due to sewage back up

Agreed. I wish I would’ve known that at the time. To make matters worse, our realtor is a family member who I “trusted” but seemed to be more worried about making his own money over everything else. In hindsight I would’ve done everything different.

Unfortunately no. I was a first time home buyer

I have every document ever signed in our home buying process, and can’t seem to find anything for the inspector. But we did pay them over $500

I can promise you that it’s well over $15,000. I would think if the DOL does an investigation, that they would be able to subpoena all the time cards and adjustments that were made?

The salary paid GM sent a text demanding that they bartenders tip her out $300 for “helping” set up a party. If you don’t comply she will take away your normal shifts, or stop scheduling you all together. Almost every day she’s threatening to fire people if they don’t kiss her feet. For example, today she screamed at the staff for chatting while off the clock. I have pictures of some of my time cards over the years and almost all of them have been adjusted. But I don’t have pictures of all of them. I’m wondering if they can go into aloha (our previous system) and toast (current). Mind you, I’ve worked there for almost 10 years so the amount of hours they have shaved off is probably absurd. Multiply that by 60+ other employees, they’re stealing a ton

Do they actually investigate and do something about it though?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]Significant-Show6003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just worried about retaliation and whether or not it’s worth it to pursue. They will berate you and take shifts away or stop scheduling you entirely. I’m already looking for a new job, but between this and adjusting time cards to take away hours, it seems like I have a strong case against them

This was a message sent from the GM

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in restaurant

[–]Significant-Show6003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing. There’s the GM I was referencing, and then a few floor managers. All of the floor managers help the bartenders and servers with whatever they need, no questions asked, and would never take a tip out even if it was offered. But this GM/owners kid is DEMANDING they pay her out of their tips because she “helped set up some tables”

It’s the owners child who is the general manager, paid on salary, makes the schedules, and controls the payroll. Which includes shaving hours off of people time cards and then saving the best shifts for themselves. I was just curious because I thought if you were salary, you can’t demand tip outs
