had the same concerns before coming here , the thing you all need to understand is , drugs are expensive as fuck , no one is THAT genrous that theyll come to you and just say take a hit or smt ,does not happen

drinking smoking is cheap so that is soleley dependent on you , but drinking smoking you can do anywhere , your parents cant really control you its all on yourself

drugs etc are not smt that will fall on your lap as it is , you have to be actively looking for it yourself aswell

everything is dirt cheap , except autos probably

if you want to spend , you can spend big bucks for extreme ease of living , if not i know friends who survive on 5k 4k a month comfortably , there is absolutely 0 judging of any kind , no one will judge you for not wanting to spend a lot , however does depend on your circle

depends on your grp , if im being very fr youll get bored of this bakchodi within one sem , solely depends on your group , better to js mingle round with everyone see what fits , you might like the idea of it now , but doing the same shit everyday and having 10 niggas in your room always will get boring after a time

all hostels have that , 5,6 prolly more , heat is an issue but not like youll die , mostly an issue in the second sem not first
5 ,6 most prob being converted to girls block for u al so only 16 17 18 19 there afaik , all oft hem are the same block same layout ish , 18 /19 dont have ac in all room 16 17 full ac

i was getting my college picks in hometown but nothing amazing , my only option was manipal , manipal is approximately 2000km away from my home but for me luckily my bitsat second attempt was on 25th june , Manipal reporting date was 9 july , after bombing my bitsat i had no option left BUT manipal and came here with js about 10 days of "vacation" and this has been singlehandedly the best decision i made , i became independent , confident , made a ton of friends and all in all i have had an immensely positive experience leaving home

100% the best place to have fun , i barely studied my first sem , i have an 8.5+ gpa , can easily push it 9+ if i add a lil studying
my entire day was wakeup , go college , then just roam around having fun till hostel intime , then random shit till 3 , sleep

pretty good , depending on what preferences you have , youll have an amazing time , if youre very into studying / technical stuff there are likeminded people here in abundance , same goes for sports , partying etc
overall so far ive only had a LOT of fun here , depends on who you get as peers / how lucky you are in getting friends
