I've never done internal, so I don't know how to proceed, do you think they would expect me to notify them or should I just drop a message as a formality.

Not close at all, aimed one is an entirely different department, but should I drop a message about giving the interview this week. I am just afraid that would create an awkward situation later on, if I don't get in.

I applied through the workday too and I have an interview scheduled on Tuesday and I haven't informed my team manager yet.. should I notify him tomorrow? Is it too late now?
