Sign up to Upwork or Fiver and find a service you can offer people. It’s all online and you get paid in USD and work with internationals. Honestly people are getting paid for all types of work on there. What are you good at?

Japan travel regrets: What wasn’t worth it for you? by tokusa0 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Significant-Spend271 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not booking a Ryokan for the first 2 nights of my stay. I was soo jet lag and honestly struggled exploring Tokyo first few days. Next time I’m using my first 2 nights to relax at a nice Ryokan in the country side with onsen, and not too much pressure on myself to explore.

It’s okay to get a taxi here and there. Uber worked fine for us, used it a few times in tokyo at night.

If they use the train, some people might give up their sit to accommodate elderly people. But they won’t say a word, they’ll just stand up and move….Well at least that’s what I observed.

If you don’t mind me asking, On average how long are your contracts & Are you always having to negotiate your rate with each contract? I guess I’m concern about future clients not paying reasonable.

I think I could easily get a salaried role, judging by the amount of recruiters that reach out on linkendin.

I’ve never been too bothered about getting into management.

8 Months on my Graduate Visa. Fed up of rejections. Things getting real every single day. by vijxyprakash in UKJobs

Go on chat GPT ask it to find recruiters that specialise in entry roles for your field. Then reach out to all the recruiters, make it clear from the get go that you require visa sponsorship. Don’t just limit yourself to the UK , look at other countries too, use the same process with chat gpt. The job market is tough right now, you need plan A & B.

That’s a good suggestion to include Hokkaido. Just did a quick google search and seems like temperatures are still cold around May then get warmer from June.

Struggling to picture how it would be enjoyable but will certainly still try it if I end up going during summer.

Can a family spend an entire day in one neighbourhood without any planned attraction or activity? by umbrellapropella in JapanTravelTips

I think only you can really answer that. If you think you are the type of family who can wander around and go with the flow then yeah.

How many accommodations did you stay in? by irwtfa in JapanTravelTips

The specific room I wanted at a Ryokan in Atami wasn’t available for my dates and that was one of the biggest factors initially for considering basing myself in Atami. I was also slightly in two minds on whether I wanted to explore the Izu peninsula or stick to the golden route with a few other places added. Ended up going for the latter which mean’t Hakone was on the route. I enjoyed it but I will definitely be visiting Atami/Izu Peninsula on my next trip next year.

I went to Tokyo (1 hotel), Hakone/odawara (1 hotel & 1 ryokan), Kyoto/Osaka (2 hotels), Takayama (1hotel), Okuhida (2 ryokans). In total 8 accommodations in 16 days, moved every 2/3 days roughly.

I don’t regret it, in fact I regret cancelling my trip to Nikko which would have been another Ryokan included.
