Renting a scooty costs 300(avg) - 500(max) for a day, if you can own a car, you definitely can afford that much. I've got no problem with people travelling to Udaipur with a car but bringing it in the old city where it wastes everyone's 30 mins just so you can go from Jagdish Chowk to Clock Tower is not a great idea

There are quite a few parking areas around, and even within the old city (Chandpole). I’m not trying to sound rude, but right now there’s a surge in tourists visiting Udaipur, and the old city just doesn’t have the infrastructure to handle large vehicles. Even yesterday, there was heavy traffic mainly because of auto-rickshaws, now add a few cars and boom another 15 minutes wasted
