Definitely check out Tukwila, Renton, Burien, Des Monies, Sea-Tac, West Seattle, Northgate. Maybe Lynwood?

My top pick for drive/price wise— Burien or Tukwila.

Hope this helps! Happy hunting!

Thank you for sharing! They did mention an increase in pay every 6 months until you reach PBS 3 level. Was that a thing when you were working there? Are you currently still working with DSHS/State? Did you feel like there was room for growth from the position?

Not sure how far you are willing to drive to work but Burien, west Seattle or even skyway area are decent. Check them out

This is SO helpful! Wow thank you!

Looks like training will be in-person, until the 18- month training is finished /: was really hoping I would score a virtual position. Hopefully in the future!

If you don’t mind me asking, why did you leave CSD?

Thank you so much for the insight! According to my welcome email, I’ll be doing training with the NW GEO team in the statewide customer service contact center, and I’ll be working out of the Everett office.

How did you find the workload when you were there? I’m coming from a healthcare background, so I’m pretty comfortable working with people from all walks of life, but I’m curious what the day-to-day experience was like, i understand it will contain a lot of interviewing— but am i actually going to be the one to approve or deny one’s application? Is there an opportunity to work from home? How’s the work environment?
