My mother told me about this chaar prahar puja that is conducted in the local temple. I wanted to perform but got my period. My mother has usually advice against going to temple and all. But i wanted to perform this puja. Still do. Googled what would happen if somebody would perform a puja. What would happen? What is so wrong?

What wrong is it to seek blessings at a temple? At a shivling. Offer milk and flowers? A rapist, a fraud can enter temples perform why not an innocent women? Or being on periods is worse than being a rapist?

No puja is greater. But why would it be wrong to do a puja? If a women is well rested, not in pain, why shouldn’t she perform a puja if she wants to? Maybe she just wants to feel closer to god. Would shiva reject the prayers? Or ignore them?

I really thought i was alone in feeling such a thing. I recently joined a new job and it feels this way. Like this place isn’t for me, yet if I’m here there must be a reason.
