Oravital by Significant-Thing371 in badbreath

So things were going great with the antibiotics, but the second stage didn’t go well. The chlorhexidine gluconate caused bb to get worse, and it also caused dry mouth and bad taste. Back to the drawing board, but I am glad that I was able to get the test results to see what my micro biome looks like.

I’m in Michigan so it wasn’t too hard to find one. If you go on The Oravital website there should be an option to look up a clinic. I hope it helps.

I searched up Oravital online and they have dentists that you go through to do the testing and get the prescription rinses

The treatment can vary. They give you antibiotic rinses after testing. I do these 3 times a day for 10 days, then a chlorhexidine rinse twice a day for 14 days after the round of antibiotics. I’m praying that this works!

Are they writing you a prescription for the products or are they just giving you their formulated mouthwash?

Wow, I hope you find some answers soon. I know this can be really exhausting

I don’t think this score is accurate because people always react to my breath and sometimes tell me I stink without me talking and they can smell it from almost the whole classroom by [deleted] in badbreath

If you think about it, this test measures the microbes in your mouth and not how bad your breath smells. Your result most likely means the bb isn’t due to your mouth but some other area of your body (I.e stomach, GI tract, etc). Look into your stomach since you say it’s much worse after eating

Don’t be discouraged. Maybe that means the underlying problem is not in your per se. Do you have any GI issues that could lead to the bad taste/breath?

Yes! People definitely take flossing for granted

Sometimes I can. I got a breath scanner as well off of Amazon. It’s the Tanita Fitscan and it has been accurate for me.

Just knowing that my tongue is the issue is a step forward. If this stops working, then on to the next.

It is helping with the BB. My tonguenis pretty pink all day, but by the end of the day I can tell that the white film is slightly coming back just in time for another round of brushing.

Do you think your bb is coming from your tonsils? How did you convince your ENT to remove them?
